My wedding is this Saturday and I wanted to rock a afro/curly puff via perm rods on my wedding day. But after that, I'm so done transitioning! I just did my BC 3 days ago…I can’t wait till I can post my own one year pic….Thank you to all these beautiful girls for sharing their pic…its very encouraging!!
I love the fact that I can find ways to do my hair now that I am growing out of my perm. To see such beautiful women wearing their natral hair is insperational to me. I have not decided to cut off all my hair to start over but as it grows out cut some of the perm out as it grows. I do have a question? Where can I get some of the hair products for cleasing and conditioning also that are good for hair that is transitioning from perm to natral state. Thanks for all that you have done I will keep tuned. Yours truely Dion.
It will be one year January 16, 2010 from the big chop…since then i have done 2 strand twists, blowouts, and press n’ curl. I will never ever go back to the relaxer. I think natural doesn’t necessary mean that you are “black power” – driven, but I think it’s about making your power beautiful and bold. Be proud of you are and what God designed you to be. Something about the hair when you go natural, makes you shine and you feel so much better about you! Since going natural, I haven’t had a problem with acne…which was huge back in the days being relaxed. These pictures are beautiful! Go divas!
