:: REVIEW :: Coco Curls Moisturizing Styling Cream

Ingredients: Aloe Vera Juice, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate, Hydroxypropyl trimonium Honey, Lactobacillus Ferment, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract,  Dehydroxanthan Gum, Fragrance Oils

How I Used It: I cleansed and conditioned my hair, and then used the Coco Curls Moisturizing Styling Cream to twist my hair in 7 sections. I let my hair dry overnight and then separated the twists the following day.

(Hair after unraveling the 7 twists)

(Hair after separating and fluffing further)

My Thoughts: The Coco Curls styling cream certainly isn’t lacking in the creamy department as shea butter is one of the main ingredients. I found that the cream distributed well in my wet hair and didn’t leave behind any residue. As far as a scent, it’s extremely light, so for those of you who prefer unscented styling products…you wouldn’t have a problem with this one. When I took my twists out, I noticed that my hair didn’t feel weighed down by the product at all. It gave me a light hold, which was perfect for the fluffy twist-out I decided to style. When I styled my hair in a puff later on in the week, I found that this product also worked well in keeping my hair moisturized and giving it a nice, natural sheen. I will say it looks perfect for my hair type, but I need major hold in the Winter cause my hair takes so long to dry.

I haven’t figured out what works best for my hair as of yet so I’m trying new products. I definitely like the way that this one sounds because it seems to me that moisturizing while the hair is wet just makes sense. So the fact that you say there was no residue makes me inclined to try this(that plus the shea butter and light weight).

I will say that I have tried this product as well and it is the only one that I have tried that works well with my twistout. A+

Ive had this product in my baby’s hair bucket for about 3wks now. I got it as a sample in LaPlace, La at a natural hair event. I used it for the 1st time yesterday and I am glad to say I’ve finally found something to keep my 9month old daughter hair moisturized in the middle back part if her hair. Nothing else has worked for that particular area. GREAT PRODUCT :)

I love this product! I usually put it on over my leave in and my hair is soft for up to 2 weeks at a time!
