To help minimize breakage, one of the key aspects of my weekly hair routine is deep conditioning my hair. To do this, I either sit under a steamer with my hair saturated with conditioner, or do the same but use my Hair Therapy Wrap instead of the steamer if I’m busy and I need to move around and complete tasks around the house.

Hello Mae! How are you? Thank you so much for having this giveaway! Well, I’m still on the hunt for a favorite deep conditioner but there are a few deep conditioners that I’ve used that haven’t been too bad-The As I Am Hydration Elation, The Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment and a few of the B.A.S.K. deep treatments. Again, these are deep conditioners, along with several others, that are just okay, especially the B.A.S.K products (they didn’t harm my hair but they also did not do the things that was raved about for my hair), but until I’m able to find one that truly works for my hair, these will suffice.

When I deep condition my hair I use plain yogurt or I use Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm; they both moisturize my hair leaving my curls soft and defined.

Whatever Deep Conditioner I have at the time. I’m always trying a new one because I haven’t found one where I absolutely love the results but as a college student I can’t afford the ones that I often hear great reviews about and seem like they can do no wrong. So it really depends on which one I feel like giving a chance that’s sitting in my bathroom. No matter what DC I use though, I always mix it with coconut oil and olive oil.

My deep conditioner consist of 6 tbsp. mayo, 2 large eggs, 2 tbsp. avocado oil, and 2 tbsp. coconut oil with 6 drops rosemary and 6 drops lavender essential oils. i saturate my hair with this mixture cover with a plastic cap and let sit for an hour then rinse with cold water.
