They also do some styles that are enhanced with extensions. You can book a service using their proprietary COLOUR booking app available free on the iTunes store and use invite code: COLOUR50 OR for those with Android phones, you can just email them at email@example.com to book. After witnessing a COLOUR appointment with our pop of COLOUR makeover winner earlier this month, I couldn't wait for my own appointment!
For all COLOUR appointments, you take care of cleansing and conditioning your hair and COLOUR takes care of the styling.
Here's what I did on my natural hair wash day to prep for my first COLOUR appointment
To cleanse my hair, I used Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Before applying the shampoo to my hair, I thoroughly saturated my hair with water in the shower and started lightly finger detangling my hair. I then applied the shampoo, working it in my scalp first with a gentle massage and then smoothed it down to my ends. I also continued finger detangling and removed shed hair during this process. I separated my hair into 6 sections for better manageability and lathered and rinsed twice for a really thorough cleansing.
After rinsing the shampoo out of my hair, I then coated my hair with conditioner from root to tip while finger detangling in sections. After finger detangling, I then detangled with my Evolve detangling brush. It was my first time using it, and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use in the shower! It's a keeper for me.Once all my sections were detangled, I then twisted each section and then did a deep condition treatment with my Hair Therapy Wrap after placing a plastic cap on my head. I usually let the conditioner sit for about 20 min. under my heated cap. After my deep condition, I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair while my hair was twisted in sections and then I was off to my COLOUR appointment with thoroughly cleansed and conditioned hair!
