Two weekends ago, I had the pleasure of being a special blogger guest of Beautiful Textures in their uber fab lounge set up during ‘Fro Fashion Week, brainchild of fellow blogger, Tarin Boone. Let me just say it was such an exciting today. The event was held at the Melia Hotel in downtown Atlanta, and just as I was walking into the hotel…guess who I run into!
The Beautiful Textures lounge inside the hotel was set up so nicely! They had an OMG Booth set up in the corner (I always gravitate towards these when I see them at events! lol). They also had a board where they asked guests to write what being natural meant to them. I loved that they also set up various products from their line throughout the room, encouraging people to smell and test out the products!

I must add here that from what I’ve tried so far, their line is pretty great. I actually styled my hair that day with their Curl Control Defining Pudding for a twist-out.
When I walked in, celebrity stylist, Felicia Leatherwood was demonstrating how to use the Beautiful Textures line on a hair model. She is always a pleasure to chat with! Extremely knowledgeable and such a positive spirit.
Overall, I had a great time hanging out with the Beautiful Textures team and also meeting some of my awesome subscribers and readers! If you’re interested in learning more about the Beautiful Textures line, feel free to check out their Facebook Fan page.

From April 28 – May 1st, I was thoroughly immersed in all things natural hair and it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
Many of you know that was the weekend of the annual World Natural Hair, Health & Beauty show, but before that event even took place, I had the opportunity to attend two “pre-events” hosted by some fellow YouTubers and bloggers.
On Thursday, April 28, I had the pleasure of attending the Monroe Sisters meetup, hosted by the cute and stylish YouTubers and sisters MsVaughn and MeechyMonroe . The event was well-attended and the night was full of chatter about natural hair, picture-taking and over 100 giveaways!
The next event was on Friday, which was the “Curly Girls Rock” event, which had over 500 attendees! This event was hosted by LexiWithTheCurls, MahoganyKnots and MeMyHairTheCity. It was indeed a glam event and there were was so much natural hair pride in the atmosphere : ) I met so many of my natural hair sisters that I’ve had so much fun interacting with on my Facebook Fan Page, Twitter and YouTube! For the weekend, I was also a special guest of Huetiful along with Afrobella and Taren916, both of whom were such a pleasure to meet in person!
Awesome recap video from Thirsty Roots !
Now Sunday was the grand day, which was the day I attended the World Natural Hair Show. I started off the day as a guest at the Huetiful booth for a couple hours, where I was able to meet and greet…too much fun! Fellow YouTuber, LethalPleazure, was helping at the Huetiful booth and we had a great time and even recorded a short vid together : )
The weekend was so jam-packed I can’t even begin to include everything that was memorable in this post, however, feel free to check out some of the recap vids I made shortly after the events as well as several photo albums on my Facebook Fan Page with tons of pics from the weekend!
