My Carol’s Daughter Hair Products Haul : )

In order to stop promoting my PJ (product junkie) tendencies, I told myself that I could not buy any more hair products till the ones I currently have are all finished up! Since my Organix shampoo and conditioner are on the "verge" of finishing, I decided to stop by the infamous Carol's Daughter store to check out their highly talked about hair care products.

For those of you not familiar with Carol's Daughter, it is a company that provides a line of natural beauty products for hair, skin and hands. They also have a number of fragrances. The start of this company is interesting, as it was founded by a woman named Lisa Price who started making products in her kitchen in the 80's. Her mother's name is Carol, hence the name "Carol's Daughter" for her company that has an online website (www.carolsdaughter.com), has products sold in Sephora and Nordstrom, and even some stores in malls nationwide.

Anyways, I decided to visit one of her stores in the mall, and I fell in love instantly! The store had a very organic, natural feel and the workers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. The sweet fragrances in the store had a very relaxing effect as well. One of the young women who helped me in the store (who btw had a BOMB curly TWA) directed me to their hair products area and showed me how she used the products in her hair and even tested some out on my hair. They smelled delish!! Her marketing skills were quite effective, so I ended up returning home with the following products : ) :

1. Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie (Intense Conditioning Treatment)
Cost: $19.00
Description: Our bye-bye tangles recipe contains naturally moisturizing oils of Olive Fruit, Sunflower Seeds and Rapa Seeds. Detangles and conditions for a healthy shine. (Paraben-free. No petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial color)

I was advised to use this on my dry hair before shampooing as a "pre-poo" to help condition my hair and so that the shampoo wouldn't leave my hair dry.

2. Black Vanilla Herbal Shampoo (For Dry, Damaged Hair)
Cost: $12.50
Description: A thick, rich recipe of gentle cleansers infused with intense moisturizers, Nettle, Lavender, Red Clover and comforting notes of warmed Vanilla. (Paraben-free. No petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial color)

3. Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner (Hydrating Refresher and Detangler for Dry Hair)
Cost: $11.50
Description: Extracts of Lavender, Honeysuckle and Sage. Fragranced with comforting notes of Vanilla. (Paraben-free. No petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial color)

4. Hair Milk ( A light solution for adding shine and frizz free definition to natural curls)
Cost: $12.00
Description: Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and Essential Oil of Lemongrass (Paraben-free. No petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial color)

Once I start a routine with these products, I will definitely share how these products have worked with my hair!

Are there any Carol's Daughter product users out there???
