Exclusive Footage from Carol’s Daughter Celeb VIP Event

Man, do I have some exciting things to share with you guys! It so happens that someone from a PR agency that works with Carol's Daughter stumbled across my blog and sent me an email inviting me to attend a Celeb VIP event at the new Carol's Daughter store being held on Friday afternoon for the media/press as well as area celebrities. The event was partnered with Mary J. Blige’s charity FFAWN, where they were contributing 33% of the events proceeds to its cause. FFAWN stands for.." For the Advancement of Women Now" and is"dedicated to helping all women gain the confidence and skills they need to reach their full individual potential" (ffawn.org). The email also mentioned that I could possibly have the chance to interview Lisa Price, the founder of Carol's Daughter too. After reading the email, I literally had to reread it several times just to make sure it was being sent to the right person, lol! I couldn't believe it! I immediately responded stating that I would love to attend the VIP event as well as to be able to interview the mastermind behind Carol's Daughter : )

So I arrived at the store well before the event had started so I could get some good pictures of the store and the products. The layout was simply elegant and the ever sweet fragrance of the natural products was permeating through the air. They were even setting up tasty desserts that looked exquisite along with a chef dicing up some fresh fruit for beautiful, tropical platters.

I was so thrilled when Lisa arrived at the event. She arrived before the masses came and I was actually the first person to be able to interview her after she surveyed her new store in the Lenox Square Mall. She looked gorgeous and elegant, wearing a long flowing black and white dress. Her hair was definitely on point too! The interview went really well and she was very friendly and easy to talk to. She has such a bubbly personality! I could tell right away that she absolutely loves what she is doing in life.

After the interview, I started to mingle and meet with some of the other media who had arrived to interview Lisa before the main event began. Even Better Mornings Atlanta came to scope out the event. Anywho, for some reason, I completely forgot that this was to be a true celebrity VIP event so when I tell you that I was not prepared for some of the celebs that attended that night...I really wasn't! Let me tell you though... I am SOOO glad that I decided to bring both my Nikon D50 Digital SLR Camera and my Canon camcorder to capture the night's events!!! They had an area near the front of the store with a Carol's Daughter backdrop, where the guests would stand to allow the photographers to take their picture. I definitely cozied up next to all the other professional photographers and started snapping away, lol! One of the PR agents would announce to us who was coming in next, and for a while, I really didn't know who the people were. When she was announced Steve...in my head I was like "Steve Who??"....then in comes Steve Harvey and his wife!! I was shocked. When she said Mo'Nique next...I was like you've got to be kidding!! But what really got to me was when she said Boris...I said , this CANNOT possibly be happening to me RIGHT NOW!!! I instantly remembered my roommate and I back in freshman year of college just ogling at his beauty and then here he was no more than 2 feet away from me. I was on cloud 9, lol. Even my boyfriend had to understand my ranting and raving later on (Thank ya boo!) : )

All I have to say is that I had a more than wonderful time being able to attend this event. I have to thank my sources at Tractenberg & Co. for letting me know about the weekend's events to share with you guys and for arranging for me to attend such a fabulous event! : )

I tried my best to capture the festivities so you guys could join in on the fun too! Check out the vid I compiled of the event!

Here is another vid from the event featuring special remarks from Lisa Price and the Executive Director of FFAWN.
