2 month mark of being a NATURAL CHICA!!

(BIG CHOP: July 22, 2009)

Whoa...the time certainly does fly!! I can't believe my big chop was 2 months ago and I've been HAPPILY natural and growing ever since then : )

Honestly, I really love learning about how to care for my natural hair. When certain products don't work for my hair, I don't get frustrated but excited about the quest to find out what does! Maybe that's the scientist/experimentalist in me, lol! In any case, having you all join in on my journey has made it even more exciting. From exchanging tips with one another and even the encouragement and compliments...it has all been so valuable to me!

One thing I've noticed along the way is an increase in my inquisitive nature when it comes to becoming more "natural" in other areas of my life such as health and other types of bodily care. I find myself wanting to shop more in the organic food markets (when my pocketbook allows!) and even stepping out on a limb and making my own lotions and lip balms (I'll have to fill you guys in on that later!).

I say all of this to just express the fact that I am still ELATED about my decision to go natural. My hair feels and looks healthier, and I've been exposed to a number of other wonderful natural chicas out there in my new "naturalista" family. Luv ya chicas : )
