PREGUNTA (Question) : Can I start my dreadlocks again??

Hey gals! I REALLY need your help on this one as I am not familiar with the process of attaining locs and the condition the hair needs to be in to do so. Soooo, I'm hoping my natural "loc'ed" ladies can help  answer the following question I received from a Natural Chica reader!

Hi Mae!

I'm big fan of your blog -- I always check it out when I should be listening to lectures
(uh oh, lol Pay attention chica!!). I just had a question I was hoping you could help me answer.

I've been natural on and off since 2005, and I recently gave in to the urge to relax my hair. I was so mad at myself, because I have been wanting to go back to my dreadlocks. Anyways, the relaxer didn't really affect my hair. It's still basically the same texture it was before, but slightly looser. Do you think I would be able to let it grow out a little and lock it? As I said, it's still essentially the same, and I'm hoping there's still a chance I won't have to start all over again. Thanks a bunch for your time, and keep the great posts coming!
