Mahogany Queen is the name of a brand new company starting their own line of homemade natural hair care products. I was kindly asked to review the first product on their line, which is their Honey Coconut Shea.
For this product review, I have teamed up with "V" from the blog, My Natural Me. Look for her video review of the product and how she used it in her natural hair styling after my review below : )

Natural Chica’s Crítica: The first thing I noticed when I opened the jar of the product was it’s scent. Although it wasn’t specifically listed, I could tell lemongrass was one of the essential oils that was used, since that happens to be my favorite : ) The consistency of the honey coconut shea reminded me of that of whipped butter (very thick but smooth and creamy). I used this product to help retwist my hair at night after spritzing, when I was wearing a twist out and it did help maintain my twist definition. It left my hair feeling just as soft as before I used the product. It was said that this product could be used on your skin, but I found it too be a bit too sticky for use on hands and arms. I had to wash it off after applying and use plain shea butter. Overall, I think it’s a nice product to use to help seal in moisture for the hair before styling.
