Product Review: Zenzele

I was recently given the opportunity to review some products from a new company called ZENZELE that actually launched this past summer."ZENZELE was founded in 2010 from the 15 year natural hair styling experience and natural product awareness of Nereshte Kambishamba. Having styled various natural hair texures and grades from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Nereshte found herself frustrated by not finding a single ethnic targeted natural product line free of paraben, mineral oil, petroleu, phthalates and sulfates. Nereshte decided to start her own, thus sustaining ZENZELE's meaning."Do It For Yourself!" All of the products of ZENZELE are available for purchase online at www.zenzele.us"Of the three products I was sent to review, the first thing I immediately noticed in all of them was the wonderful tropical scent! I don't know about you all, but I love using products that also have the added bonus of a great scent...it's like perfume for your hair : ) I decided to test these products out when I needed to retwist my hair after an inital twist-out on wet hair.ZENZELE Sangria Hair OilI used this product to oil my scalp before retwisting and also throughout the rest of the week to add some shine to my style. Once again, the scent was lovely and the oil didn't weigh my hair down at all! It basically consists of safflower oil, castor oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil.

ZENZELE Leave-In Conditioner

I used this product to lightly mist my hair before retwisting. I find that making sure my hair is slightly damp before retwisting helps me maintain my twist-out styles for a longer period of time.  This product has a host of great ingredients, with aloe juice being the first main ingredient. I love the fact that its a spray leave-in conditioner, and is light enough that I can use it to dampen my hair when I need to change up my style (my tightly coiled hair MUST have some moisture in order to be maneuvered!) throughout the week without the worries of freezing my head off because of the winter weather! ZENZELE Shea Shea Hair Souffle Now out of the three products I reviewed, this hair souffle was my absolute favorite! This is probably one of the most creamy and moisturizing hair creams I've ever tried! It gave me a light hold for my twist-out, but most of all, my hair stayed moisturized for the rest of the week! The blend of aloe juice with other great ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and jojoba oil (just to name a few) worked so well for my hair! I'm putting this on my "must-have" list for sure...especially for the winter season!Overall, I was really impressed with the quality of this new line of products and would certainly encourage you to check out their site if you're looking for wonderful, healthy products for your hair that also smell oh so lovely : )Note: These products were given to me for review, with no obligation for a positive review. No monetary compensation was received for reviewing these products.
