REVIEW: Senica [Senk Conditioner & Hair Lotion AND Shampoo Bar

A couple weekends ago, I had the opportunity to take a summer beach trip and decided that would be a perfect time to try out a couple of products that were sent to me for review by a company called Senica. I was sent a hair conditioner/lotion along with a shampoo bar and decided that would go along well with my plan for wearing wash n' go looks for my beach hair. After swimming, I used the Senica shampoo bar, and was surprised how easy it was to lather with a bar (this was actually my first time trying a shampoo bar, Period!). I found that if I lathered the bar first in my hands and then applied the lather to my hair, that I could more easily distribute the lather in my hair and effectively cleanse it. After rinsing out the lather, I must say that my hair felt clean but not extremely stripped. I loved the mixture of carrier and essential oils in this formulation, which gave it a strong but not overpowering, relaxing scent.Once I finished shampooing, I then tried to use the Senk conditioner as a leave-in. Unfortunately, the product formulation was a bit too thick for me (didn't have much "slip") to use for detangling my hair, but I did find that it did a good job of providing and retaining moisture in my hair. The product was non-greasy and didn't weigh down my hair as a leave-in.
