From wearable collections to private line trunk shows, jewelry, accessories, and more.Here are a couple of styling tips on how to make your bridal look ICONIC!1. Be YOU. I always encourage brides to go shopping with just one or two people who truly understand their personality and style. With too many different opinions it’s hard to stay on track and be true to one’s style.2. Play with color. From your shoes to your lip color, don’t be afraid to add a pop of color. It may be just the thing you need to make the right statement. TREND ALERT ~ TRY OUT PANTONE’S COLOR OF THE YEAR: TANGERINE ORANGE.3. Dress for your shape. You may love the trumpet cut gown, but your figure might look amazing in a ball gown. Your wedding day is the ONE day you want to stay clear from trends when it comes to the dress. You can always accessorize with trendy statement pieces.4. Invest in your accessories, from shoes to jewelry & headpieces. Let’s face it, a gown you wear once. A sexy pair of pumps you can use forever. Some great accessory lines to check out are: Jannie Baltzer, Elsa Corsi, Tessa Kim & Haute Bride. For shoes, lots of lines are creating exclusive pieces just for brides, from Jimmy Choo to Kate Spade.5. Make sure you have a budget, and stick to it. By hiring a bridal stylist we make sure to plan and style accordingly, with your budget in mind.6. Let your bridesmaids shine as well. The worst thing you can do is put your best girls in unflattering dresses. I love Twobirds Bridesmaid gowns. Each gown can be wrapped in a unique way and can be used long after the wedding!7. Ignore the size. While retail manufacturers changed sizing standards years ago, bridal lines still use 1940’s scales, which run up to two sizes larger than today’s ready-to-wear sizes. So don’t obsess over the size of your gown – just enjoy wearing it and make sure it’s flattering.8. Beauty Concierge ~ Be sure to drink lots of water & get a good night’s sleep days before the wedding. Your wedding day is not the day to play with every shade under the sun. Pick one feature you’d like to accentuate and go with that. Don’t forget the EYEBROWS. To create the perfect frame for your face so be sure to visit a brow specialist.9. Choose a signature scent for your special day. Some of my favorite brands include: Dior, Jo Malone and Hermes.10. That's exactly what this event is all about...from our detailed fashion show categorized by bridal styles to our beauty bar filled with the latest products and top brands offering services all day, to our bauble bar which will house sort of a gallery… filled with hand curated pieces/brands we feel our chic brides should know about. Of course, the event is all about fashion and being pampered, but we will also bring together top bridal/wedding experts, so brides can get a head start on the planning process.
