About the showThe Naturalista Hair Show, founded by Angela Walker of N Natural Hair Studio is a showcase and celebration of the coming age of the modern naturalista. We’re standing on the backs of the women who came before us and looking out at a promising future. A future filled with leading healthier and happier lives from rocking natural hair to exercising and eating right. This expo teaches women of color how to care for their natural hair and live healthy lives while embracing the right to remain fabulous.
Angela Walker is the creator behind The Naturalista Hair Show. After traveling to Atlanta, New York and Philadelphia to attend natural hair shows, this DC native naturally decided to give DC their very own natural hair show. “There is a huge growing natural hair community in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). And it’s time we get together to teach each other, learn together and celebrate this movement.” Angela is the owner of N Natural Hair Studio in Silver Spring, MD. She lives with her three year old son and runs, reads and salsa dances in her spare time.
