Disclaimer: The products shown below were sent to me by Shea Moisture with no obligation for a positive review. All opinions expressed are my genuine feelings and I only share things with my readers that I personally use and feel would benefit them as well. When it comes to my lip colors, there are like two or three shades that are my go-to and I don't really venture beyond that. So when I was asked to participate in Shea Moisture's campaign, "Summer is too Short to Wear Boring Lipstick", I decided that it would be the perfect time to step outside of my comfort zone and experiment with some of their cool new shades for summer! It's so great to see that Shea Moisture has really extended their offerings of cosmetics...especially exciting for me since I'm always on the hunt for cosmetics with more natural ingredients! Here's what Shea Moisture sent over for me to play with:(From left to right)- SheaMoisture Lip Crayon in 'Calixta'
- SheaMoisture Superfruit Sheer Tinted Lip Gloss in 'Primrose'? (label fell off so I wasn't completely sure, but from checking on their website this seems to be it)
- SheaMoisture Superfruit Sheer Tinted Lip Gloss - 'Starfruit'
- SheaMoisture Luscious Lipstick in 'Maple'
- SheaMoisture Luscious Lipstick in 'Pink Tulip'
- Prime & Define Long Wear Lip Pencil in 'Dark' (bottom)
'Calixta' was the perfect nude lip color for me!
Primrose (or what I think is Primrose) is a nice sheer pink gloss!
'Starfruit' was a really sheer gloss that had a hint of sparkle. I love that I can wear it by itself or layer it with another lip color.
'Maple' ended up being another great nude that is a little bit more pink than 'Calixta'
'Pink Tulip' was a lovely bright pink color!
So I must confess, I have NEVER tried a dark lip before...and now I'm in love!! I paired their 'Dark' lip pencil with the 'Starfruit' gloss for a little shimmer and I almost didn't want to take it off lol. Overall, I honestly loved ALL of the lip products that were sent to me! I didn't expect them all to work out for me, but surprisingly they did and I look forward to wearing them throughout the rest of the summer and beyond!
I’m a fan of Shea Moisture. For summer deep conditioning, it’s worked out pretty well for me. However, I’ve not delved into their skin care, and I would never have thought that their lip wear would be something I’d want to try, as I have a few go to (okay ritual) lipsticks, myself. However, the colors look amazing on you! I’m definitely reconsidering. That dark color is pure love. How did the colors last for you? Were they pretty long lasting or did they fade considerably?
Thanks again! The colors are truly rich and pigmented and lasted a full day of wear. You should definitely try them out!
